HELP! Extreme wasp phobia and wasp stuck in room

scoredskip

Post

I have an extreme phobia of wasps (like full-on panic attacks with hyperventilating.) Wasp got into my bedroom at 3:30 in the morning. I sprinted out of there and shut the door, and it was flying around angrily the first time I tried to go in there to get my phone. At some point, I managed to turn off the light so it would maybe find its way back outside, but I checked on it hours later and it's still hitting itself against the window pane like a dumfuck. It presumably got in through this weird crack in between my AC and window (pictured here, subleasing for a month so not worth trying to get my landlord to fix it and I can't really caulk it bc of the weird mesh net over it). Will it ever find its way out??? I have been in tears since 3:30 this morning and I'm at my wits' end. I don't know too many people in the city I'm in right now, just my roommates and they're also afraid of wasps and I feel bad asking them for more help (one of them already helped retrieve my phone.) I don't want to attack it bc I think I'll be too panicked to hit it precisely, and then it'll attack me and I'll freak out AGGHHHHH help literally what do I do? Can I call an exterminator to get one wasp out lol https://preview.redd.it/wh2f1zx40kih1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=34a46c71448e7f160479c641a7490dd297a63b22

Summary

The post is about a wasp trapped in a bedroom and a gap around an AC unit, not about window replacement or window repair intent.

Reasoning

The author mentions a crack between the AC and window only as the likely entry point for a wasp; there is no discussion of replacing, repairing, comparing, or upgrading windows, nor any homeowner-focused window problem.

Extracted Signals

  • window mentioned only as entry point
it presumably got in through this weird crack in between my AC and window
  • not window-related intent
Wasp got into my bedroom at 3:30 in the morning
  • temporary sublease context
subleasing for a month so not worth trying to get my landlord to fix it
