6 month update on using this pottery barn candle holder as a propagation station.
Post
100% successful, highly recommend!! Today was the second time since February that I took all the cups and plants down for a deep clean and "reset". Individually they've probably each been replaced at least one other time, either because the plant that was in the cup was so healthy that it was time for it to be potted, or because the cutting didn't thrive and I needed to start over. I absolutely love how this turned out. I especially love weaving the long vines from the plants below around the spiral. You can see what the spiral looks like without the vines attached in the third picture. Most of those cuttings are about 6 weeks old. Some notes about the practicality: Having the grow light on high was actually TOO successful at encouraging growth, I don't have time for weekly plant maintenance beyond checking water levels. With low+4hrs the plantlets go from cutting to ready to plant in about 4 months. High+8hrs had them busting out in after 6 weeks. I needed to put the thirsty plants down low, (I found that if I put my freshest cuttings up high I can go 15 days or so before I have to pull out the step stool). As predicted, it's very easy to make a mess when watering if I'm not careful. Using a large watering can is not at all practical. A small watering can works okay. My option is to use an old "SmartWater" bottle, it's much more controlled with zero drips. I think that's about it, other than having to use a step stool, it pretty much works exactly like my old propagation station in the window, it just looks 100% more interesting. You can find spiral planters like this all over Facebook marketplace and places like Goodwill (You can also still find them new online).

The post is about a plant propagation setup and does not indicate any window replacement or repair intent.
Reasoning
This is clearly a gardening/home decor update focused on a pottery barn candle holder, plant cuttings, watering, and grow lights. Windows are only mentioned as a past location for the propagation station, with no complaint, comparison, or interest in window services.
