I finally used my kitchen scale regularly

new

Post

You guys. I’ve had a very cute kitchen scale for eons. I have just started using it to actually weigh everything in grams (despite being American and weighing nothing in grams since science classes in high school) Biggest surprises: chia seeds. I’ve been eating way UNDER what I’m supposed to, counting it as the volume size but weight is VASTLY different. Oil: again, I’m using way less than I was anticipating Meat: how I was going the opposite direction here? Chicken breast and ground pork? I’m using waaaay more than I thought a 4oz/113g was. Weighing fruit instead of “7-7.5in banana”??? How did I ever think this was accurate. Please tell me others have had this experience of deciding to weigh things in order to count calories instead of doing cups/tsps/etc and suddenly realizing why things were either not filling or you’re not seeing results like you were expecting because all the counts were off 🤯 And if you needed inspo to get a kitchen scale, please let this be it!
