[Parent post: "Are these windows any good?"] Just bought a house and everyone keeps saying I need new windows but they look okay to me. They all open and close. It’s a little difficult on some but they do work. The sellers painted them to match the house. I personally love them but we haven’t lived in it yet so I can’t say how well they insulate. My husband and dad are insisting we change them now because bugs and dirt and energy efficien --- I like them personally. I might put a mini split in there if it’s too hot during the summer. I’d go with aluminum windows to replace if I was going to pull the trigger. I’m not a huge fan of vinyl but that’s just me
