Why is Razer Synapse so bad and are there any decent alternatives?

Hey everyone, as you can probably tell from the title, I’m pretty unhappy with Razer, and especially with Razer Synapse. I currently use a Razer Huntsman V3 Pro, a DeathAdder V3, and the BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 Wireless. I deliberately stuck to Razer products so I wouldn’t need five different programs running in the background. At this point however, Synapse is getting on my nerves more and more. The first problem concerns my BlackShark V2 Pro 2023. Before that, I used the wired BlackShark V2 for more than four years and was really happy with it. After it unfortunately broke, I decided to replace it with the newer wireless version. If I don’t open Synapse, the headset always just sounds terrible: muffled, quiet, and generally somehow wrong. My workaround is to go into the headset settings, switch the profile from “Custom” to “Game,” and then immediately back to “Custom.” Every value in my custom profile is set to 0, so technically nothing changes, yet the headset suddenly sounds normal/better again afterwards. I read somewhere that the headset might be switching between stereo and another audio mode when this happens. However, I have no idea whether that’s actually the cause. The headset also randomly loses its connection to the wireless dongle. It doesn’t matter whether I’ve already been gaming for five hours or have only been chilling on the desktop for 30 minutes. After reconnecting, the audio sometimes sounds weird again, so I have to repeat the workaround. During an eight-hour session, this can happen anywhere from one to three times. The next problem concerns my Huntsman V3 Pro. My default profile often doesn’t load correctly, which means that things like the keyboard lighting don’t work properly. It’s not a critical issue, and sometimes I don’t even notice it right away, but it’s still annoying. My wired DeathAdder V3 also occasionally loses its connection, although this happens much less frequently, in the middle of a game, that is obviously extremely annoying. Sometimes the mouse disconnects several times in a row, stops working completely for up to 20 seconds, and then comes back. Most of the time, it works perfectly fine for the rest of the day afterwards. On top of that, Synapse occasionally seems to reinitialize itself. While this is happening, my entire PC sometimes starts stuttering, with brief freezes and FPS drops. At the same time, I could see Synapse reloading on my second monitor. Things I’ve already tried: Checked every USB port and the motherboard Removed the devices in Device Manager and let Windows detect them again Installed the drivers manually without Synapse Reinstalled everything together with Synapse afterwards Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Synapse Tested an older version of Synapse Tested the latest version of Synapse Reinstalled Windows 11 The same or very similar issues occurred both before and after reinstalling Windows. They seem to happen especially often whenever Synapse gets involved. A common suggestion online is simply to stop using Synapse. Normally, I would agree immediately, but I would have the problems mentioned above without it. Has anyone had similar experiences or found a decent alternative to Synapse? Ideally, I’d like a solution that lets me properly save the profiles to the devices once and then get rid of Synapse altogether. Or is there some other fix I might have overlooked?
