I have lots of coleus plants. But every single one of them seems to be dying off right now. We have had REALLY bad humidity this year though. So bad, the exterior of the windows on my house are fogged up usually every morning (not in between the window panes - so it's not a broken seal). I feel like I need a knife to cut through it enough just to walk outside. As a result, my potted plants on my front porch have stayed wet for at least a month or two now. I haven't needed to water them this entire time. And I have a feeling that is causing my coleus to die off. Caladium is loving it, but the coleus is not. It always starts on the leaves, with the edges dying, and it moves inwards until the leaves fall off. Once all of the leaves have fallen, the stems start to turn brown and die off too. Does this sound like it could be from the high humidity that isn't letting the soil dry out at all? FWIW, the plants sit on a covered porch, facing north, so they don't get much sunlight, if any. The sun only really hits them in the late afternoon, and only for the two month span between late May and early July. That's specifically why I chose Coleus to put up there, since most Coleus love shade.
