Failed seals in two double-pane windows — replace glass/IGU or entire sash?
Post
Hi all, I have double-pane windows throughout my house, and two of them have what looks like seal failure, with moisture/air trapped between the panes. One is an upper sash and the other is a lower sash. From what I’ve read online, it seems this isn’t something that can be fixed with a simple repair kit. Either the sealed double-pane glass/IGU or the complete sash needs to be replaced, but hopefully not the entire window and frame. Does this sound right? My other problem is identifying the manufacturer/model. I found these markings on the windows: Thermal Weld Double Hung VSDH GWT-K-1 NFRC 100/200 — CODE: POL, SERIES: 1120, POL-M-033 11-M I’ve attached screenshots of both labels. Does anyone recognize these, or know another way to identify the manufacturer/model so I can find the correct replacement sash or IGU myself before resorting to a window repair company? Thanks! windows label 1 windows label 2 Windows 2 trapped water
