Post

Hey guys, I started mid-January. I started at 227 lbs and I’m currently in the 214-215 range. (5’6 male) I eat 1600-1700 calories a day and go to the gym 4-5 times a week. I am in Canada. Tomorrow I am increasing from a 1.0 to a 1.5 dose. (I’ve only been on 1.0 for about three weeks). Yesterday I went back to refill my prescription and my doctor said it “wasn’t working as intended”, so I should think about switching medications, but to me everything seems to be going as planned. After weighing me in all my clothing mid-day after I had been drinking water and eating, he said my weight hadn’t changed since last time I had seen him. (He measured in KG, not pounds). So he told me I should consider switching medications to mounjaro instead immediately I reluctantly asked if I could stay on the higher dose for more than a few weeks and increase it instead, which he reluctantly agreed to. Does this feel like a red flag to anyone else, or is he right? I said I’d like to stay on a higher dose for more than a few weeks and he reluctantly agreed, but I’m questioning my own judgement here. Thanks guys.

Summary

The author is questioning their medication's effectiveness and considering a switch, indicating moderate intent to explore options.

Reasoning

The author is actively engaged in their weight-loss journey and is discussing medication adjustments with their doctor, which shows a level of commitment. However, they are also expressing uncertainty and seeking validation from others, which suggests they are still in the research phase rather than ready to make a purchase decision. This places them in the moderate intent category.
