I just got back into watching my weight and working out. i’m 147lbs 5’4. i started doing a calorie deficit about February 7, 2026 and i thought i was doing it right it set my calories to 1300 a day but i did the TDEE calculator which put my calories at 1438 per day but i’ve stayed with the 1300 because my body feels used to that but im roughly eating around 920-1100 calories per day now. so my main question is with a calorie deficit do you eat the whole 1300 cals or just try to stay at or below it? Should i be eating at the 1438 calories per day? i feel fine going off the 1300 but a calorie deficit is new to me and i was sure i was doing it right but now im not so sure.
