Passed the Claude Certified Architect - Foundations (CCA-F) Exam! Quick write-up + detailed prep notes doc
Post
Hey everyone, Super happy to share that I recently cleared the Claude Certified Architect - Foundations (CCA-F) exam!Since I’ve been lurking around this sub to stay updated on Anthropic's ecosystem, I wanted to pay it forward and share a quick breakdown of how the exam felt and what helped me get through it. The Exam Experience: The exam heavily tests your understanding of Claude’s core architecture, context window optimization, and safety guidelines. If you are preparing for it, do not skip over the details of prompt engineering principles especially how Claude handles system prompts and XML tags. There were quite a few scenario-based questions where you have to choose the most efficient implementation model based on latency and cost constraints. It also leans heavily into agentic architecture and multi-agent workflows, which is a major focus area. My Prep Guide & Notes: To make things easier for anyone planning to take it, I put together a comprehensive breakdown of my preparation journey, common mistakes to avoid, and the exact topic breakdown in a shared Google Doc: CCA-F Preparation Journey & Guide Inside the doc, I’ve also linked the main resources that saved me: Practice Questions: I used the updated CCA-F practice material on CT, which gave me a really accurate feel for how the trickier, scenario-based questions would be phrased on the actual test. Video Walkthroughs: I've included the YouTube visual prep video links in there to reinforce difficult topics, which helped make the architectural concepts click for me much faster than just reading documentation[cite: 1]. If anyone here is currently studying for the CCA-F or planning to take it soon, feel free to check out the doc or drop your questions below. Happy to help out with tips on time management or specific topics to focus on!
