I will soon be moving into a ground floor flat in a 2up 2 down building that’s had no one live in it empty for 3 years. Family property I inherited but been working out of the country since so not been lived in. A relative has been keeping an eye on it but not doing anything beyond making sure not broken into or flooding similar. The boiler/radiators were set to keep the flat from getting damp inside but due to issues appearing the boiler needs replaced & as a precaution all water was turned off & radiators drained. This has meant for the last 3 months there has been no hearing int he flat. Boiler is been replaced & will have checks done before turning the water back on. From what I can tell there isn’t any obvious damage no signs of mould or damp from an initial look. Although I definitely will need to leave all the doors and windows open for a while to get fresh air in. Any suggestions on what I should be looking out for in terms of potential issues based on the flat not being inhabited for 3 years (although only not heated for 3 months)
