This winter, I got into a minor fender bender, and the front drivers side of my car got beat up a tiny bit. The only parts visually affected were the hood and side panel (photo attached). Had body work done in June and the day I picked it up after the work was done, I noticed shaking in the steering wheel. Ever since then, it has progressively gotten worse over time and now it shakes really bad. Obviously my first thought is that it’s something they did while repairing the car, but I have now taken it to 5 shops over the last 2 weeks with zero answers. Tire shop aligned, balanced and checked all tire issues and found nothing. Firestone auto care did a whole car check and found nothing. Repair shop guy took it for a drive and seems to think it’s something with a brake pin getting stuck, but Firestone guy says he doesn’t think so. After driving for a while the driver front tire does feel hot, but Firestone did temperature gauge and didn’t find any differences between the 4 tires, though I assume they didn’t drive it far enough before testing. At this point, I’m lost. To get the car into the dealer for an inspection is a 3 month wait. Any ideas I can throw out at the body shops would be so appreciated. Firestone said there was tar in my front tire and changed out the front driver tire, did nothing.
