[Parent post: "Need Input on 1984 Townhouse with Lots of Correctable Problems After Inspection."] My inspection was today on an original 1984 end unit. When i say original, i mean original. Nothing has been updated, fixed, or improved. Everything is caked in dust. Now, i knew the carpets were nasty and the kitchen appliances were original, but i didn’t expect every single thing to be original, and the inspection showed me that. HVAC is all original and well past its useful life, the water heat --- We bought a 1985 Townhome a year ago. New A/C, Heat Pump/ most appliances fairly new. 3 new windows in front but needed 3 new ones in back. One bathroom redone, the other a serviceable original. We did: New LVP floor throughout 10k, removed popcorn and paint entire interior 7K. Granite counter tops, 4k, Fridge 1K, New gutters 1K, repainted kitchen cabinet doors and changed hardware 1K, 3 windows and mold treatment 2K, changed all switches, outlets and added recessed lighting in hallway 2k, Changed all the ceiling light fixtures for 1K as well. We are retired and consider this our last home. The biggest luxury we had was we lived in our old house while this was being remodeled. It cost us 6 months of mtg payments 6K but we were able to take our time and not have to live in the mess. It took the entire 6 months to make it livable. I still have the back patio to finish but I'm taking my time. Got an estimate of 2K to redo the pavers that are not level. I also want to beef up the rear fence to keep out traffic noise. It's a lot of work but we have a beautiful home that is all remodeled and shiny. We like it.

Summary

The commenter is describing their own home renovation experience, including replacing three windows, but is not asking about windows or showing current buying interest.

Reasoning

This reads as a retrospective personal update rather than active research or a request for quotes. The only window-related mention is that they already replaced three windows in the back, which suggests past action, not current intent. There are no questions, comparison shopping signals, or indications they are planning another window purchase soon.

Extracted Signals

  • Mentioned replacing 3 windows already
  • Described completed renovation work in the past tense
  • No questions about pricing, companies, or replacement advice
