I’m trying to lose 10 lbs in 10 weeks and I used a calorie calculator which told me I should be eating 1800 calories a day. This is taking into account that I walk 8,000 steps through my active job as a teacher. I’ve been counting my calories and staying in my deficit for the last few days, and I am fucking miserable. I don’t even have the energy to do housework or simple chores let alone work out (which I used to have plenty of energy for). After I get home from work, I’m so lightheaded and weak that I just want to curl up in bed until it’s time to go to sleep. I’m wondering if this is just a hump that I need to get over and if I’m going through withdrawal/a detox of sorts and it will get better, or if I need to up my calories. I want to lose the fat, but I also want to tone up through exercise, and I don’t see that as even possible given my current state of energy. I don’t know how this could be remotely sustainable for me but I’m seeing info online that 1800 is on the higher end for a deficit. For context, I’m a 5’6 female and I currently weigh 155 pounds.
