Hi everyone! So I was on 2.4 of Wegovy for about a year and a half and plateaued after losing about 20 lbs, so my doc switched me to Zepbound (well, after we went through all the CVS Caremark PA hurdles because this system is absurd, BUT I DIGRESS). I just took my first 5mg dose of Zep this morning. Thrilled to be here. I have no idea what to expect but I’m both excited and anxious. The only side effect I seem to have about 15 hours post-shot is a lot of soreness in my upper body, which I was not expecting but appears to be a thing based on this subreddit. As far as food noise and appetite go, it’s about the same as when I was on Wegovy. I have to remind myself that this is a different drug, because I feel mostly the same so far except for the aches and I guess I was expecting to feel a little more different? We’ll see what tomorrow brings I guess. Hopefully the soreness will fade. One thing I will say is, this injection pen is WAY better than the Wegovy one. Anyway, I’m glad to be here and will accept any and all tips, especially if you’ve made the transition from Wegovy. I’m guessing it’s similar stuff (protein, small frequent meals, hydration, etc.), but I still feel like a noob! :)
