How do we feel about using shapewear for loose skin in hotter months? I'm looking for tips.
Post
I lost over half my weight between the ages of 31 and 33 and I'm still dropping more for the sake of my health. The problem is, I have a ton of extra skin. Upper arms, upper thighs, and midsection. If I wear a dress that only gets tight around the waist I can fit a size M 10, but with the excess skin I have to wear size 12 pants. My job is at a factory where I need total body movement at a moments notice. Last summer I lost enough weight that I didn't chafe but now my upper arms and midsection are super wobbly as I'm powering through losing my last 40 lbs. It's April. It's getting warm in a hot chemical plant nowadays. I can't keep hiding under sweaters and want to go back to wearing just a T-shirt but I don't want the shirt to keep ending up bunched into my armpits from the extra skin or my midsection to be flopping around. Are there any suggestions for some sort of lightweight shapewear that I can use for my torso? Preferably something I can hand wash inbetween shifts if that exists yet. I'm also open to upper arm compression sleeve suggestions as my arms are to a point where I can see the definition of where they "should" be, along with a defined muscle, but then a weird loose ring/wrinkle of skin. I'm concerned mostly of buying something that'll smother me or just make me break out in a rash. Hence why I'll most likely hand wash it myself with a gentle baby soap and vinegar.
