How long does it take to lose 5% body fat as fast possible

I need to lose weight as fast as possible while maintaining muscle. If I'm M, 6'1 and eating 1500 calories while doing cardio and gym every other day is that enough to lose 5kg in a month? I'm thinking I can maybe go down to 1000 calories and just water fast on the days when I'm not doing the gym. Appreciate the advice
